Due to the difficulty of obtaining a venue during the busy holiday season, we're not able to start our rehearsals until January 2. Therefore, it's important that we hit the ground running. We'll be rehearsing almost every day after that. The one day that the entire cast and crew have off is Sunday, January 10.
Of course, not every actor needs to be present for every rehearsal. I'm working extra hard to set up the rehearsal schedule so that you don't have to come in unless you're really needed. I'll send this schedule out within the next couple weeks.

Auditions
Auditions for The Last Radio Show will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, October 18 in Venue@21c (the big room) at Library 21c, 1175 Chapel Hills Drive.
The Last Radio Show is a full-length comedy written and directed by Todd Wallinger. Todd is an award-winning playwright with over 200 productions in 45 states and 6 countries. Five of his plays are published by Pioneer Drama Service.
This production is the world premiere and all actors will receive original production credit in the script when it gets published.
The blurb:
It's 1946, and KUKU Radio is in trouble. Their broadcast tower keeps falling over. The electric company is about to cut off their power. And now the owner is threatening to fire the entire crew. Can this ragtag group of radio actors keep the show going no matter what? Or will they be shut down for good?Rehearsals are Saturday, January 2 through Wednesday, January 13 (no rehearsal Friday, January 8) at Venue@21c. Performances are Thursday, January 14 to Saturday, January 16 at Black Box Theatre, 1367 Pecan Street (four performances total).
These will be small group auditions with sides as well as cold readings from the script. Please bring a hardcopy of your resume and headshot if you have them (don't worry if you don't). Please also download and prepare sides for the characters you're auditioning for. Links to the sides are given below. You don't need to memorize the lines, but you should become very familiar with them. I'm looking to see what YOU can bring to the part. How do you interpret the character?
The play has ten roles, four of which have been pre-casted. The roles are:
JIMMY—Mild-mannered office boy with dreams of radio stardom. 20's to 30's. (Download side 1, Download side 2)
MAGGIE—Tomboyish engineer. A wizard with vacuum tubes but a total novice in matters of the heart. 20's to 30's. (Download side 1, Download side 2)
WILSON DEWITT—Station manager/announcer. Always one crisis away from a nervous breakdown. 40's to 60's. (Download side 1, Download side 2)
MRS. WATT-RYLER—Matronly station owner. Just waiting for an excuse to clean out the whole crew. 50's to 60's. (Pre-casted)
NIGEL—Former London stage actor now reduced to playing bit parts on radio. A curmudgeon to the core. 50's to 60's. (Download side 1, Download side 2)
DANNY—Genial leading man. A real horse lover, especially when they come in first. 30's to 50's. (Pre-casted)
GLORIA—Glamorous leading lady. Of her many admirers, her greatest is herself. 30's to 50's. (Pre-casted)
ROXIE—Maureen's protégé. So near-sighted she can't tell a microphone from a meatball sandwich. 20's to 30's. (Download side 1, Download side 2)
KNUCKLES—Gangster. As tough as a sledgehammer. About as smart as one too. 30's to 40's. (Pre-casted)

If you can't attend the auditions on October 18, a limited number of additional audition slots are open later that week.
To request an audition slot, email Todd by clicking here. Each slot is one hour and you can choose to start at 1pm, 2pm or 3pm. Please also state which roles you're interested in auditioning for. Thank you.
